Zonta Yellow Rose Run & Walk Event Rules
- You agree that prior to beginning training for the Zonta Yellow Run & Walk for Foster Hope you have sought medical advice if you have a medical condition that may require attention. Do not participate if you are sick, have vomited, had diarrhoea or an abnormal temperature within the past 48 hours. In the event of illness, accident or injury the participant consents to receiving necessary medical treatment and to have personal and medical information shared with medical professionals and event organisers.
- Please remain on the designated route, keep to the footpaths and cross in the designated places where official marshals will be present.
- Walkers must always obey traffic laws and regulations. Please listen to marshals and officials if further instructions are given. The route is on footpaths and paths with uneven surfaces in some areas, mostly sealed, however some gravel paths too. Participants will have different skill level and unfamiliarity with the course. The run/walk goes through the golf course, please be aware of golf balls.
- Everyone who takes part must arrive at the stated start time to hear the safety briefing. Anyone who misses the safety briefing will not be allowed to walk.
- Be courteous to the public as they will be using Hagley Park for their personal needs. Stay on the course at all times, and keep to the left.
- By participating in this event the participant consents to the use of photo, audio, video content without consent or payment.
- Any walker asked to leave the Zonta Yellow Run & Walk for Foster Hope will not be entitled to a refund of their ticket.
- If the Zonta Yellow Run & Walk for Foster Hope has to be cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond control of the Zonta Christchurch Clubs you will not be entitled to a refund of your tickets or claim for any loss whatsoever. If you choose not to participate please know that no refunds will be issued.
- You must wear your official entry bib, pinned on the front of your shirt.
- Please report any safety concerns to the closest marshal or official.
- The starting order is as follows 10km Runners, 5km runners and 5km walkers. This is not a race, this is a fun run/walk.
- Zonta Yellow Run & Walk for Foster Hope accepts no responsibility for any lost possessions or clothing.
- We recommend the participating child has the parent or guardians contact details written on their arm in case of separation or an emergency.
- Spot Prizes, to claim a spot prize the winner must be wearing their 2024 Zonta Yellow Run & Walk for Foster Hope entry bib and be present at the prize giving.
- A toilet is available along the course heading towards the hospital, after the tennis courts as well close by to the finish line.
- In entering this event all participants have agreed to an event waiver whereby they enter and participate at their own risk, and are responsible for their own actions at all times with no liability to the organisers, sponsors, or associated parties.
- Entries are not transferable to other people.
- Zonta Yellow Rose Run & Walk recognises the importance of protecting an individual’s privacy. We do not pass your details on to any other organisations/persons. However we would like to retain your email to notify you of any other events Zonta runs in the future, you are always welcome to unsubscribe.
